Singapore Air Show 2008

Was at the Air Show on Saturday..and boy…it was CROWDED….besides planes…the Queue wand the Taxi was quite a sight.

I believe 20% of Singapore taxis are all there…. Am glad we manage to get a parking label from L.
The cruising of the A380 was quite a sight to behold. It looks really magnificent and the engine don’t roar like the others. Cool…… Manage to snap a few photos..and though not really well taken. But i guess a lot of the photographer must have regretted not bringing here telephoto lens. My 300mm barely make it in capturing the the details of the fighter jet while performing the air display. Argh..but telephoto is not kind my cup of tea…so I shall not invest it it 🙂

My nose and shoulder was sun burn.. ouch…especially my nose.

The next best thing of the day was Lunch at Boon Tong Kee…. Slurp. my craving satisfied!

Sleep

They say that as you get older you tend to sleep less. Not sure how true it is, but whatever it is I think its taking effect on me!
I can’t seems to sleep more than 6hrs or so. The bloody in-built alarm clock seems to wake me up daily whenever 6hrs is up.
Even though I had a couple of drink or no matter how much exerciseI had done that day … it just keep waking me up! ARgh….

Well.. here I am.  in the middle of the night typing this post coz I slept at 7pm and my in-built alarm clock just woke me up at 1am!! Argh… again!

—————-

Was suppose to shut down the company from last Thursday till this Tuesday for the festive holiday, but apparently alot of things r happening and I’m forced volunteered to come back during Friday and Monday to help settle some stuffs. I’m a workaholic I think!

—————-

Went lunching with Nana of Friday at Pan Pac and I think Nana loves the food there. I think we will make it a monthly event to dine there just to try out the culinary skills from their different chef there. Great food  with great presentation.. Thumbs up from me! Oh.. not to mention their homemade bread is extremely tasty and no bread came close to it after that!

Anyway I’ll also plan to bring Nana to try the food out at Pontini and Top of the M. I hope Nana will like the food there too!

———————-

After lunch, we went photo shooting with my new toy and Nana is my model for the day. I’m still a noob in DSLR photography and I took a awfully long time just to get the correct setting. OK maybe not so correct after all. I’ve develop some of the photos and it comes out OK..but not jaws dropping! It lack of some punch. I seriously need to brush my skills up so I can’t wait to start the DSLR classes and get some serious tips.

—————

I’ll attempt to get some sleep again and hopefully it I can get another 6hrs of sleep….. anyone knows how to kill in in-built alarm clock besides killing me?

Small things I splurge on

I scaled Bukit Timah Hill again yesterday. Tried running there to meet my relatives but something happen mid way & I’m force to take a bus there. Its getting easier to climb up now and that goes for Nana.

We adjourned to the near by hawker to have our usual breakfast, and this time we ordered hell lots of food. Damn all that exercising seems to have gone to waste. haha. After the breakfast, some of us pop by NTUC finest for some shopping. We bought the 2 most expensive there.

1) The Most expensive apple you can find there, 1 for $7.80
2) The Most expensive Chips you can find there, 1 for $1.80 (its like less than 50grams)

Well…its all worth it I must say.The apple is extremely juicy and the the Chips taste very close the French fries and its very addictive. I think there are less that 30 chips in a bottle.

My next splurge will be the near $100 honeydew. Hehe. Will write a review if I really splurge on it!

Wedding Bells

Like the title says its gonna be a post on wedding, but I ain’t the one ringing the bells.

Since December 2007!!! I’ve attended 3 wedding function, 1 lunch & 2 dinner. My weekend was pack, I’ve to push away a few task on hand which I had plan to do because it.

I must say, its just a joyous December when the holidays r not even here yet. This December is jus gonna burn away with celebrations. 3 wedding in 2 weekends is striking some cords in me. To me wedding dinner are always so joyous but behind or after it, I often heard complaints about things being different after marriage. Love isn’t as expected as before. Whaa… I really think I got phobia in marriage perhaps the lack of confidence that I can be a good husband. Hmm…or I should say, I doubt I’ll still be appreciated as a husband. Sometimes when environment changes, people changes and expectation rises. The pursuit to meet everyone expectation is just not for me. At times I just can’t be bothered about it. If U ain’t happy, go away and carry on with another life w/o me then! I’m just a wicked man. Sigh…sad to say!

enough babbling…perhaps I’m still waiting for a love to get me home.

Enjoy the video or song.

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

Went Mountain Hill climbing at Bukit Timah Hill yesterday. I was always excited about this hill, I have some feelings for this hill, I used to live just opposite the hill and during my primary school days,I hang out quite often there.Venturing into the hills and exploring different tracks. I have friends staying just at the foot of the hill, not sure if any of you remember “orh chu”, thats what they call the housing there “black house”. They are are like squatters areas, which is like a kampong. I remembered my friend grandpa who sells roasted chestnut and we always get to free packet of it. YUMMY! Oh..I’m a kampong guy, I stayed in kampong during my childhood and I think many around my peers didn’t get to experience such stay 🙂

Okie back to the Hill, we took the Red Track and followed it up to the summit, next we back track it and followed the Blue Track to the Quarry.  The different was quite different from the one I’ve seen 20years back. Back there there wasn’t so much high rise condos and there wasn’t so much blockage from the tree branch. Seems like the tress have grown taller than me 🙂

It was a tiring walk but compensated by a costly breakfast. Had our usual 菜头果, 猪场粉 and 豆花. and additional side dish…the most expensive of them all. a freaking SUMMON ticket…..knnz…sianz 1/2.

Spend the whole afternoon sleeping and slacking. Its another day gone by. I just love weekends!

Dinning @ Pontini

Had dinner at Pontini last night and they food was great. Gim was quite a gourmet and ordered some fantastic pasta that was out of the menu but a pasta that true Italian chef must know how to prepare. The goose liver was fantastic too. Don’t ask me what dish I ordered coz, I ain’t the one ordering it. The interesting lesson learned is, If you ordered expensive wine and it doesn’t taste right, you can have it changed. Of coz Gim is the one who detected the sourness in the wine and he have the crew verified it. Indeed the next bottle of exact wine taste different from the earlier one.

Great Food, Great Wine, Great Companion & not to mention great service crew, Roberto!

Oh… I think I’ve to really got to start picking up drinking again. I want to appreciate the finner side of life. Then again, provided I get to drink with those who don’t get drunk easily. I have a problem with alcohol, I don’t get drunk before others do. In fact I’ve never been drunk. *grinz*
